BFR – Black Carpet Event

This February, the historic Connecticut Street Armory will come alive as Buffalo Fashion Runway presents Black Carpet II, a dazzling celebration of Black excellence, history, and creativity. As the premiere Black History Month event in Buffalo, Black Carpet II aims to inspire, uplift, and unite the community through fashion, art, and culture.

Honoring Legacy and Excellence

At the heart of the event is a powerful tribute to Buffalo’s Black leaders. Ten distinguished Buffalo Black Icons will take the runway, recognized for their exceptional contributions to the community. This poignant moment highlights the essence of Black history: resilience, creativity, and leadership.

The show’s fashion collections will journey through time, celebrating the evolution of Black style from the Harlem Renaissance to modern-day. Each design tells a story, embodying the rich tapestry of Black culture and its influence on global fashion.

A Historic Venue Reimagined

The event takes place at the Connecticut Street Armory, a venue steeped in history and hosting its first event in 8 years. The grandeur of this iconic space serves as the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening that merges tradition with contemporary creativity.
